THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS…
With its soaring ceiling height and swish interior this german themed Brasserie always makes you feel glamorous…even if you’re wearing jeans and a T. Sit at the downstairs bar and have a burger (there are vegan options) with a glass of the Romanian sauv blanc.
Tasty fusion food from Bill. Beautiful, understated interior, my favourite restaurant toilets!
Open for over a decade, but still faultless on taste and service.
Bocca Di Lupo
Fantastic regional Italian food, be sure to walk across the street to Gelupo for desert.
Reasonably priced food in a beautiful setting.
If I’m in Coal Drops Yard (see Places) and in need of caffeine, this is my go-to. The space is small and often full of the lap top brigade but the coffee is great and the team are friendly.
La Bodega Negra
If you can’t get a reservation at the uber hip restaurant check out the sister cafe thats just around the corner – fantastic flavoured Mojito’s.
The Standard, Kings Cross
Mr Balazs does it again with this takeover of what was originally quite a brutal office building. This maximally designed hotel has a lobby and restaurant that are the perfect places for weekend loafing or glamorous nights out.
WHITE WHITE WHITE! Possibly my favourite hotel in the WORLD. I’ll be there next spring. Again.
Get away from it all to this stunning New Forrest hideaway. Friendly unpretentious service makes this place really stand out from the crowd.
Truly breathtaking interior, and incredibly wearable clothes. Ok, ok, but a guy can look!
My favourite store!
Effortless chic from this Scandinavian fashion house.
What’s not to like?! I’m never further than 4 feet from a lit candle.
Possibly the most comforting blog I’ve ever read. A mixture of Debora’s move to the French house of her dreams and her easy to follow, fool proof recipes. So beautifully written, I often read them more than once.
Business of Fashion
Even if fashion leaves you cold you’ll enjoy this daily offering.
Bypass Covent Garden (it’s just around the corner) and come to this splendid architectural triumph, built in 1776. Even if you just stand in the middle of the square, it’s worth a trip…
Coal Drops Yard
Granted the shop selection is a tad random but CDY is an incredible addition to my neighbourhood! Be there at sunset and stand on the upper levels, the view is mesmerising. Redevelopment at its BEST.
A staggering collection of art. Whether you’re just visiting London or reside here, if this (free!) museum doesn’t stir emotion in you there’s no hope.
It’s fashion collection is the biggest in the world. I’d like a week long lock in please!
In my opinion London’s prettiest.
A green oasis in the heart of Kings Cross.
A beautiful collection of French 18th Century artefacts.
Beautiful handmade jewellery, one of London’s best stone setters.
The most amazing celebration cakes, not only are her works of art a feast for the eyes, but they taste great too.
Stylist/Personal shopper. In house at Selfridges, he has amazing knack at getting the “essence” of your personal style.
